2004-07-25 - 8:25 p.m.

i just got back from cleveland last night. as most of you know, brianna, ethan, michael, rachel, beth and i went up there for warped tour. it was the single greatest experience of my life.

i saw part of billy talent's set, part of allister, alkaline trio, sugarcult, the matches, big d and the kids table(twice), go betty go, rufio, nofx, bad religion, anti-flag, flogging molly and part of taking back sunday.

i got to meet the matches. they were so freakin cool. they signed the cd i bought of them. they almost knocked over their tent when they were playing. they sound awesome live.

for the first time in my life, i have a #1 favorite band. i've never been able to pick a favorite, but now its big d and the kids table. like i said, i saw them twice. they were the only band(that i know of) that played twice. i was so close the first time, the trumpet player almost kicked me in the face. they were crazy. the guitarist hit his head on the ceiling and he still finished the show too.

i met the bassist of go betty go, but i didn't realize it was her til i saw them play later.

here's a funny story. michael and i were walking around at warped and this guy calls us over and he points to the merch table for a band called d.o.r.k. and says(excuse the language)"if you go over to that tent and say "dicks" they'll give you a free cd." so michael goes up there and says "dicks" and nothing happened so i said "that guy over there said if we said "dicks" you'd give us a free cd." i dont even think they knew the guy. they looked very puzzled. eventually he slipped me a cheap compilation cd under the table and he gave me a discount on their cds, $13 for both, i listened to parts of the cds first and i ended up buying them. they're not too bad.

all in all, it was a crazy day.

the next morning, rachel's dad took us to the zoo. that was pretty sweet. one of the seal's looked like he wanted a hug.
