2004-11-01 - 10:22 a.m. hey guys. i've got a bone to pick with barry's music. there sign says they buy used cds, so i thought i'd sell them some cds cause i'm a poor college student. the guy looked at the cds for a long time and said "we do better with classic rock here." so i was pretty pissed and i said, "your sign says you buy used cds." he just told me to try the pawn shop so i went there and they only take 20 cds at a time. 20 cds! i dont think main st. likes me. my halloween weekend goes as follows: firday: absolutely nothing. whoo! saturday: this was a good day. i was high on life! i went to breakfast at like 1 in the afternoon with short ben(he's actually taller than i am but we have 2 bens on our floor) and dusty. our dining hall has some pretty good breakfast pizza. then short ben and i walked down to main st. we were gonna check out the thrift store, but it was closed. i still think main st. hates me. so we started talking about bands that we've been in and i mentioned the bobble heads needing a drummer and he replied with, "i play drums," so i asked if he would like to play drums with us and he replied to that with, "fuck it. let's do it." so its official, the bobble heads are a full band for the first time since june and i'm electrifyingly happy. then i went to a show. i dressed in my halloween costume(which i didn't even wear on halloween) and therefore i got in the show for $1, which was pretty sweet. i went as the devil, but not your ordinary devil. i was a pretty slick devil. i spiked my hair into two horns(which looks really cool with my red hair i might add), i wore a ton of eyeliner like i did at horrorfest and i wore my maroon 3-piece suit. it was pretty awesome. the show was pretty cool. bands that played: leona dear, the pleasant noise, star city spirit and red letter philosophy. they were all hardcore bands which is not really my thing, but i do occasionally listen to it. i didn't like the mosh pits. they were the hardcore-arms flailing-karate kick kind of mosh pits and i don't mess with those. i'd get kicked in the face. all the bands were pretty good, but i felt the pleasant noise was focusing too much on the visual aspect and not on playing the best they could. crawling on the ground is fine, but i feel playing well is top priority, tho it was funny to see the keyboard player hit the ground with the keyboard on top of him. i met a girl named frenchie. sunday: didn't do much sunday. did some laundry. i watched the exorcist. then carter, brikeda and i went to mean gene's to eat but on the way there somebody threw an apple at us and we could not figure out where it came from. it was kinda weird. then we came back and watched cheepers creepers and that was pretty much it. i just got out of psychology and my teacher told us a true story about a scientist that was teaching a gorilla to do chores and she came home one evening and the gorrilla had mopped the floor. she walked into the kitchen and knocked over the bucket of dirty water. then the gorilla chased her down and beat her to death.......wow. i love radford. even tho yesterday was halloween, i saw somebody in a the cheat costume today. thats so cool. song of the day(1): strung out - "anna lee" song of the day(2): social distortion - "reach the sky" song of the day(3): wester - "martyrs if we're lucky" song of the day(4): green day - "holiday" quote of the day: "i feel cooler and less like i suck so bad." -strong sad i'm done. |
