2005-01-03 - 9:54 p.m. yo. well i'll start off with some sad news. one of my favorite bands, one man army, has broken up. i think it happened a couple months ago, but i just found out about it. this sucks cause they, in my opinion, were starting to show their true potential, starting to show that they can make some really awesome songs. not that i didn't like their stuff before, but the newest songs they put out on the split with alkaline trio were so awesome. one man army, you will be missed. last night, at a ceremony at my church, i got my eagle scout badge. the ceremony itself was a little nerve racking. i had to recite the scout oath and law in front of everybody. i didn't know i had to do this til maybe 15 minutes before the ceremony and i hadn't evn said the oath or law since june, but i got through it and everything was fine and then we had cake. a very large cake. part of it is sitting in my kitchen. after that, since it was their last night before they had to go back to school, i went to walmart with sarah and michael. it was a lot of fun. i enjoyed myself. i brought sarah the cookies that i owed her and beth for like a couple months now. speaking of cookies, michael bought one at the subway in our walmart(it still amazes me that we have a subway in our walmart) and he said it tasted bad. i tasted it and i concur, it did taste bad. i wish we could have stayed longer. since it was a school night, they had to go home at 10:30, but it was still fun. today, evan and i went out with matt cause he's back in town. we went to the movie theator, but it was not open so we just roamed the mall. i beat matt at air hockey in the arcade. we saw chris copley there and hung out with him for a while. the mall is boring. not much else happened today, talked to sarah on the phone, got a pizza. i'd say today was a pretty good day. song of the day(1): one man army - "the hemophiliac" song of the day(2): the specials - "ghost town" song of the day(3): five iron frenzy - "cannonball" song of the day(4): anti-flag - "one people, one struggle" quote of the day: "somebody turn off evan's voice unit." -matt fare thee well. |
