2005-01-16 - 5:49 p.m. groovie ghoulie6: wait, who am i talking to now? hey guys. i was in the book store friday morning staring at the ungodly ammount of money i will have to pay for my music lit. book ($100), when "welcome to my life" by simple plan came on the radio. i like some simple plan songs, but that song blows dogs for quarters. two of the workers in the book store must feel the same way i do about the song because they began to sing along however they changed the words in the chorus to, "look at me. i'm so rich, but i find things to whine about. and my mom, never loved me, though she probably bought me everything. welcome to my life." i must say, i thought it was very clever and very funny. friday i came back to bluefield for corey's surprise party. he had no idea. it was a great party. i got to hang out with sarah, neverlight played (which is always cool), i jumped off a chair, michael got a girl's number(yay mickey!), there was cake, and the bobble heads original line-up(me, michael, randy and brennan) played a couple songs. i missed performing so much. everyone that i've talked to about it said we sounded good, which is surprising cause randy hasn't played with us since like august and brennan quit around june, but it felt really good. we played "dork like me" which was the first song we ever wrote(randy's dad actually sang along) and we played "where is my mind" by the pixies. thanks to corey for helping us out on the really high part and the chorus. it was the first time sarah had ever heard me sing. she says i remind her of billie joe armstrong, but i don't see it. i had a great time and i can't wait to get back into the swing of things with the bobble heads. saturday, i hung out with dave and corey. we went to the mall. fye has alkaline trio's "good mourning" in stock again, which makes me mad cause the last time i was in there they didn't have it and i actually had money then. i swear i will eventually get that cd. we ran into tabbi(motercycle girl as some of you know her as), her sister and some girl that claims she met me before. akward. she hugged me and made me touch her belt. thank god corey saved me with his "we gotta go to walmart," line. sarah said she would have kicked her ass if she was there. lol. so then we went to walmart. not much going on there. we pressed buttons in the toy section (i will do that til the day i die) and corey lead us to the condom section like he always does. we walked through the food isles for a change and we decided to start a cooking club. we're gonna save up money, buy food, go to each other's houses and eat. then around 7 dave dropped corey and me off at the hudaks. we watched clerks. i like that movie. we also looked at pictures and stuff(sarah gave me some) and we just hung around until 10 when we went to los 3 amigos for the better off dreaming show. better off dreaming gets better everytime i see them. the drunk guy almost smacked me in the face. i had a great time. then mother hudak(who i'm pretty sure likes me despite the fact that i'm 18) dropped me off after the show. sarah walked me to my door. i really liked hanging out with her this weekend. it was great. i've realized recently that i still like blink 182. i know a lot of people think they sold out and they're just a bunch of pop-punk posuers, but i like them. in fact, they were the first punk band i ever listened to. i have no idea where this is going. some guys are coming to the apartment tomorrow to fix...something. they're putting mom in a motel for a couple nights while they fix whatever it is that they need to fix. before they could do this we have to move a bunch of stuff out of the way. in other words, i had to move a bunch of stuff out of the way. it sucked. my wrist hurts. whine. and now i'm back here in radford. when i got here, i noticed there's masking tape all over the back of our door. guess what, i'm out of masking tape. arg. survey-ism! A is for age: 18, i'm an adult! Last car ride: the ride back to radford today Single or Taken: taken *Last Year(12th grade) song of the day(1): lagwagon - "violins" song of the day(2): blink 182 - "mutt" song of the day(3): rancid - "tropical london" quote of the day: "this world's an ugly place, but you're so beautiful to me." -blink 182 - "going away to college" my love for you is like a truck, berzerker! |
