2005-03-29 - 2:55 p.m. this weekend was pretty cool. it had a couple low points, but it was good for the most part. my mom came and got chris and me friday. when we got to bluefield we went out with corey and dave. first we went to walmart and goofed off a little. there's a whole wall of red hats in the clothing section so we all put one on and started the red hat society. while we're standing there with our red hats(some had purple trim) i happen to look over to see this woman staring at us with her mouth open. and so the first meeting of the red hat society was adjourned. then we drove up to the east river mountain overlook. i love it up there, especially at night. corey on the other hand was a little freaked out cause he had just read a book about murders in west virginia. that was the end of that little excursion. we drove around a while yelling, "drugs!" and "hoodlums!" at random parked cars. until we finally went and picked up michael. we made him knock on what we thought was db's door, but we weren't sure, and the house looked kinda scary. that's why we made mickey do it. luckily we were right. it was db's and there was already a lot of people there. we weren't there long before db brought out a big box of ties and told us we could have whatever we wanted. awesome. you guys know how much i love ties. i only wish i knew how to tie them. the next day was supposed to be a joint practice with scantily plaid and neverlight, but it didn't quite turn out like that. randy, for whatever reason, didn't show. but we made do. we were able to practice without a pa, and corey and ethan spent their time writing. it was our first practice with andrew. it feels good to finally have a drummer. we practiced for about 6 hours, with a short intermission to move from swiftnet to andrew's house cause we got a complaint for rockin out too loud. so we set the place on fire as we left. no we didn't. we didn't really do anything special for easter. we went to church. i wore my swanky brown suit. we ate dinner afterwards. then mom took chris and me back to the rad. a few low points of the weekend: it doesn't look like i'm gonna get my job back as a sign dancer afterall, my mom told me i couldn't come home this weekend, and the lowest of low, i didn't get to see sarah cause she was in cleveland. i ran into this guy in the dining hall today. we'll call him marco cause i don't know his name. and he said to me, "diggin the hat!" and then he went on to say i always look "fashionably punk." i wasn't sure how to take that at first, but upon thinking about it, i guess you could say i am a bit "fashionably punk." i have been wearing a lot of ties with cut up shirts and cut up blazers lately. i'm not trying to be fashionable tho. i'm just wearing what i like. i'm not trying to dress cool by anyone's standards, but my own. i'm not sure where this is going, but...well actually thats the end of what i was saying so i guess its not really going anywhere anymore. i'll shut up now. i love joe and monkey. link of the day: joe and monkey: oh, oh, oh! song of the day(1): hot hot heat - "goodnight goodnight" song of the day(2): too short notice - "go on get out of here" song of the day(3): streetlight manifesto - "we are the few" song of the day(4): the f-ups - "wrong the right" quote of the day: "if you were a girl, i'd be having sex with you right now." -brian arnold the end. |
