2005-05-05 - 1:54 p.m.

fairiesw3arboots: you know what, i come to the conclusion that you need to leave radford because otherwise you will just die there.
fairiesw3arboots: lol
groovie ghoulie6: lol, i bought a couple cans of ravioli, a couple bananas, and a box of poptarts from 7-11 tho
groovie ghoulie6: so maybe that will get me through
fairiesw3arboots: lol
fairiesw3arboots: rations
groovie ghoulie6: lol
fairiesw3arboots: god its like holocaust rations..hiding in walls and stuff
groovie ghoulie6: well i already ate two packets of poptarts and a can of ravioli since last night
fairiesw3arboots: "yes..i must stay until saturday..because then our band of jews and midgets have to play for hitler.."
groovie ghoulie6: lol
fairiesw3arboots: lol we were talking about that today
fairiesw3arboots: how hitler had midgets playing violin and stuff
groovie ghoulie6: lol
fairiesw3arboots: lol so in this case,
fairiesw3arboots: radford is hitler,
fairiesw3arboots: and you are a midget
fairiesw3arboots: or a jew
fairiesw3arboots: whichever gets fed less

hey there. make you sure you read the entry i typed last night. its just a survey mostly, but at the end i promised i would type a real entry later...and here it is!

there's really not too much going on. it's finals week. finals suck. monday was nice cause i didn't have any finals that day. my roommate did tho. in fact, it was his only final so he packed up and moved out that night and i've had the room to myself since then.

tuesday, i had my jury(i think i've explained what that is before). i think i played my piece pretty well, except i was mad cause they were stopping people halfway through their pieces because they were behind schedule and i didn't get to the hard part of the song which is the part i practiced the most. i think that's one really long run-on sentence. anyway, i think i did pretty well.

like an hour after that, i had to take my music theory final. holy crap, it lasted 2 and a half hours! i wanted to gouge my eyes out...but i didn't, so don't worry.

wednesday, i had my music lit. final. holy cats, that was hard. i think i bombed it, but everybody said that too.

i think the show on the 18th with scantily plaid and better off dreaming is gonna happen. its been a very stressful road to make it happen, but its starting to look good. we've been having trouble finding chris a place to stay, but like i said i think we might(key word) have something worked out. everybody cross your fingers.

i didn't mention fire boss there cause evn tho they are the 3rd band scheduled to play right now, they might not be. more on that later.

7-11 is awesome. i went there last night and bought 2 cans of ravioli, 2 bananas, and a box of frosted brown sugar cinnamon poptars for like $6. hows that for being thrifty?

hoorah!

there's a lot of good cd's coming out in the next couple months. here's a few that i'm looking forward to...

epoxies - "stop the future" - 5.17.05
i've always liked this band. an upbeat band with a female singer and synthesizers, how could you go wrong with that? a month or two ago, sarah sent me a bunch on their stuff. awesome stuff, but i have heard one of the songs off the new album at fat wreck chords' website, and it is a really really really good song. probably the best i've heard from them. listening to them makes me want to wrap electrical tape around my arms (if you've seen pictures of them you know what i'm talking about).

alkaline trio - "crimson" - 5.24.05
i cannot wait for this album. alkaline trio would be my favorite band if i had to pick just one. i kinda cheated on this one. this album leaked a long time ago and i downloaded most of the tracks. i must say it is very awesome!! i'm not sure it's as good as "good mourning", but still very good. i can't wait to get the actual cd.

the aquabats - "charge!!" - 6.7.05
the aquabats are seriously the best band in the world. at least that's what their t-shirts say. this is one of the few bands that have left their ska ways and still sound just as good. i love this band. this record is gonna rip. *drools*

mxpx - "panic" - 6.7.05
ok, so what if mxpx's best records were made from 1995-1998 (with the exception of "the renaissance ep" in 2001). i am still looking forward to this cd. i have only heard a 30 second clip of one of the new songs, and even tho it doesn't quite sound like their glory days, it still sounds a hell of a lot better than "before everything & after". and the album cover looks awesome.

those are just some that i can think of off the top of my head. i might talk about some others later. against me! is in the studio! *dances*

the new warped tour comp is crap. i give them props for putting big d and the kids table and the phenomenauts on it tho. it does have a few good songs, but its mostly crap. i can't believe they put that same horrible hawthorne heights song that's everywhere on it. i despise that band. i most likely will not be buying the comp this year, but i still plan on going to warped tour anyway.

we just had a fire drill...somebody burnt their popcorn...*sigh*

link of the day: rob and elliot: sellouts

song of the day(1): mxpx - "lonesome town"

song of the day(2): lucky boys confusion - "mr. wilmington"

song of the day(3): the w's - "tip from me"

in the entry i typed last night i said i was having trouble finding good quotes of the day. well arnold directed me to a mitch hedberg quote website, so most of the quotes are gonna be from him for a while, because he's the man. i miss mitch. *sad face*

quote of the day: "i play sports... no i don't, what the fuck." -mitch hedberg

see you cats later.
