bah humfuck.

2005-12-25 - 11:15 p.m.

hello all. it's time for the christmas lowdown.

last night was christmas eve. i went to my uncle jeffrey's house for a christmas party with my dad's side of the family. tradition. it was pretty cool. there was great food as always. i was never really close to a lot of the people on that side so they never know what to get me (some of them don't get me anything), so i got a couple walmart gift cards and some candy. no complaints there really. my dad's gift made me laugh my ass off. he got my brother a wvu sweatshirt cause ya know, that's where he goes to college. he got me a sweatshirt that just says "college" on it. oh man, funny. i was like "it might as well say 'ehh...college?' on it." we had a good laugh about that.

annnnyway, christmas morning kinda started off on a bad foot. last year was disappointing. nobody got up early. they ate the traditional breakfast without me. blah blah blah, it was sad. for some reason, i thought this year would be different. i got up early, but no one else did. however, we did all eat breakfast together. i think everyone else got up around 9:30. i was up at 7. first thing my mom says to me is we're going to church. i forgot it was a sunday. so we had an hour and a half to get ready, eat, and open presents. that made me a little unhappy. not the fact that we were going to church, but the fact that christmas isn't what it used to be. i miss the routine. get up super early, open presents, then eat the traditional breakfast, then spend all day in your pajammas playing with all our new crap. it doesn't happen that way anymore.

but, not to sound materialistic and greedy, but opening presents cheered me up. my mom got me a freakin cell phone, and i gotta say, it's about time. my 13 year old cousin had one before me. i've been playing with it. haha, yes! and my brother got me one of those jones soda holiday packs. turkey and gravy, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cranberry, and brussels sprout flavored sodas. mmm mmm. i havn't cracked them open yet, mainly cause the display case they're in is so pretty, but i did give it a nickname, "meal of the future!!"

oh, and my granny gave me $30. hoorah!

song of the day(1): dresden dolls - "bad habbit"

song of the day(2): no use for a name - "fairytale of new york"

song of the day(3): big d and the kids table - "wicked hardcore christmas"

goodnight everybody.
